CES 2024: WePower Develops Energy Harvesting Generator
WePower Technologies has launched at CES three prototypes of energy harvesting generators, part of its Gemns EHG line, based on the mechanism of electromagnetic induction to achieve higher voltage levels compared to existing EHGs. The primary objective of these solutions is to support self-sustaining wireless devices, eliminating the need for batteries. This approach is expected to reduce maintenance costs and environmental impact.
WePower Technologies Showcases Small-Scale Generators
The generators leverage permanent magnets for field shaping and concentration to produce higher energy outputs through electromagnetic induction. Gemns EHGs are small modules that are designed into IoT devices to permanently replace the need for batteries in sensors and associated devices.
